Aboriginal, First Nations, Inuit, and Métis

Tanshii! Boozhoo! Sago! Kwey! Hello!

Welcome to the University of Guelph, we’re so excited to meet you! UofG is committed to promoting academic excellence and supporting the intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual development of First Nations, Métis and Inuit students. The Aboriginal Resource Centre (ARC) provides a supportive place on campus for Aboriginal students as well as offering programs and services to support your transition.  For more information about programs and services check out Student Life.

Check out START Aboriginal, a two-day program being held on August 30th and August 31st.  It is designed to help new Aboriginal students and their families learn more about life at Guelph, the kinds of help that are available, and the many people who are here to help you succeed.  Students move into residence early and the program includes campus tours, sessions on academic expectations, ideas for financial management, what to expect during Orientation week and more. Parents and family members are encouraged to accompany students on the first day. Log into gryphlife.ca and sign up today! The deadline is August 15th, 2018.

Have questions? We encourage you to connect with Natasha, your Aboriginal student advisor at natasha.young@uoguelph.ca
